When it comes to make money online, with affiliates program such as Amazon or any other program, you have to use every tools possible to get your affiliate link seen by people, hence Facebook

Facebook has become one of the major platform for advertising, the problem I am facing right now is I am not a Facebook expert, yes I have my FB personal account, and a FB page to promote my Blog, put that doesn`t make me a Facebook expert.

So what I have done, is read here is what I have found … keep in mind that I am interested in affiliate marketing, so of course my article is about that.

Facebook has three tools (pages, ads, and groups) that can be used by anyone. Each of these options has its own purpose, and they can be combined for greater reach.

Blogger for Dummies Ebook

The Facebook account is the one you initially created when you first went on Facebook; here you can look up your friends, add them to your friends list, join conversations etc.

On your Facebook account you can have up to 5,000 friends, while a Facebook page can have an unlimited number of fans.

Posting on your account will never cost you anything and can only reach out to your friends (as well as your friends’ friends, if they share your posts further)

The Facebook pages are generally for public figures, NGOs, companies. The pages don’t have friends, they only have fans.

Facebook pages posts can be boosted to help reach different types of audiences that you select, depending on age, location, sex or interest. This sort of boost can only happen if you pay.

The Facebook Group are very usefull to bring people that share the same interest together, you can either create your own and join one, you can join as many as 50

How Can You Market on Facebook?

Pages

Facebook pages are similar to profiles, but for businesses, organizations, and public figures. Users can “Like” a page, which means they’ll automatically receive updates from that page in their news feed. Users also have the option to “Like” a page but not follow it.

(Users also can follow some profiles.)
While profiles require a mutual relationship between friends, pages can be liked by anyone, without a requirement for the page creator to accept a fan. They also don’t have a restriction on the number of friends/fans they can have (unlike profiles, which are limited to 5,000 friends).

Advantages: Pages are free and easy to set up.
Disadvantages: It can be hard to get a foothold and build a fan base with a page.

Ads

Facebook offers a fantastic targeted advertising platform. You can create ads targeted at specific geographic areas, ages, education levels, and even the types of devices used for browsing. Facebook also lets users close ads they don’t like and “Like” a page right beneath an advertisement:

Advantages: Ads have powerful targeting parameters.

Disadvantages: Ads can get expensive, depending on your goals.

Groups

Facebook groups are similar to discussion forums, but with additional features those pages and profiles have (like a wall). You can create groups related to your industry or product offerings as a way to reach out to potential customers.
Advantages: Groups are free and have high levels of engagement.
Disadvantages: Groups can be very time consuming.

So now things that need to be done, create a page for your affiliate program and use it to promote your affiliate programs,

Another thing you need to know is use a link shortener, like bitly, goo.gl, TinyURL.com and so one, just google link shortener and you will get and extended list of program that offer this service.

¤ Post an affiliate link directly on your personal feed.
¤ Post an affiliate link on a page you’ve created for deals.
¤ Post an affiliate link in Facebook groups you’re a part of
¤ Seek out new groups where you can share your link.
¤ Promote your site in general via your personal news feed
¤ Treat affiliate links as offers to encourage new users to follow you
¤ Post a compelling free incentive to get people to click through to your site
¤ Use Facebook groups to find people who will follow your page

One thing to be careful when you post in Facebook group is to ensure you are respecting the group posting rules, if you don`t then you might get kicked out and loose that advertising opportunity.

So, what is Facebook where did it come from ?? the following is copied directly from wikipedia
quote
facebook
Facebook is an American for-profit corporation and an online social media and social networking service based in Menlo Park, California. The Facebook website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellow Harvard College students and roommates, Eduardo SaverinAndrew McCollumDustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.
The founders had initially limited the website's membership to Harvard students; however, later they expanded it to higher education institutions in the Boston area, the Ivy League schools, and Stanford University. Facebook gradually added support for students at various other universities, and eventually to high school students as well. Since 2006, anyone who claims to be at least 13 years old has been allowed to become a registered user of Facebook, though variations exist in the minimum age requirement, depending on applicable local laws. The Facebook name comes from the face book directories often given to United States university students. The company held its initial public offering (IPO) in February 2012, and began selling stock to the public three months later, reaching an original peak market capitalization of $104 billion, a new record. Facebook makes most of its revenue from advertisements which appear onscreen.
Facebook may be accessed by a large range of devices with Internet connectivity, such as desktoplaptop and tablet computers, and smartphones. After registering to use the site, users can create a customized profile indicating their name, occupation, schools attended and so on. Users can add other users as "friends", exchange messages, post status updates, share photos, videos and links, use various software applications ("apps"), and receive notifications of activity. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups organized by workplace, school, hobbies or other topics, and categorize their friends into lists such as "People From Work" or "Close Friends". Additionally, users can complain about or block unpleasant people.
Facebook has more than 2 billion monthly active users as of June 2017. Its popularity has led to prominent media coverage for the company, including significant scrutiny over privacy and the psychological effects it has on users. In recent years, the company has faced intense pressure over the amount of fake newshate speech and violence prevalent on its services, all of which it is attempting to counteract.
